Hello, and welcome to my site. My name is Deja and I am a young harlequin Beauceron. I was born on December 4th, 2008 and my family brought me home the following February. I was described by my breeder as a “ball of fire” and a “pistol.” That is, indeed, a good way to refer to me. I have an intensity about me that people notice right off the bat. Nonetheless, I am sweet and affectionate and always ready to give my family and friends a big lick on the face. By the way, as you can see from my picture, I am utterly ball-crazy.

 

I live with Claire Poissonniez and her boyfriend, Roger Roybal, in southern California. I am my owner’s very first AKC show dog. She was quite a novice when first entering the dog show world, but I remained patient and she eventually figured out how to handle me in the ring. The judges tend to comment on my great expression and attitude. Sometimes I drag my owner around the ring, but when she handles me well the judges see that I move out very nicely.

I have the heart of a working dog. My owner has started to try more things with me other than showing, such as agility and Schutzhund. I am always game for whatever she wants me to do. My owner is an elementary school teacher, and is often very busy, but she does her best to keep up with me and my training!

 

My cousin, Endine, came to live with us recently and I couldn’t be more pleased.
